How do I download PrivaNota?
PrivaNota is available on the App Store. Use the download button on the home page.
Do I need an account?
No. No sign-up or login is required.
Does PrivaNota work offline?
Yes. Choose the on-device model and PrivaNota works fully offline. PCC only requires internet when you choose to use it.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your notes stay on your iPhone or iPad. We do not run cloud analytics.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later. Apple Intelligence features require compatible hardware.
Are backups encrypted?
Yes. Exported .privanota backups are encrypted and can be restored in PrivaNota.
Is there a recording time limit?
There is no artificial limit. Audio is processed for transcription, and you control what is retained.
How much does it cost?
Free summaries are included. Pro unlocks unlimited summaries and advanced export options.
Can I share notes?
Yes. Pro supports exporting transcripts and summaries to share.

What is Private Cloud Compute?
Private Cloud Compute (PCC) is a free, optional larger-model choice in PrivaNota. Apple says PCC uses request data only to fulfill your request, makes it unavailable even to Apple staff, and never retains it—including in logs. You can always choose the fully offline on-device model instead. Read Apple’s PCC security overview.
